About Me
I am Mitsuhiro Nakamura (or Nacamura as a business/pen name), a freelance Data Scientist. I earned my Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology from the University of Tokyo in 2013.
My background includes research in mathematical biology and social physics, where I focused on mathematical analysis and data analysis. Following this, I managed statistical machine learning and data engineering projects at AI/data analysis consulting firm. I launched my independent business in 2024.
I provide end-to-end data science services, from data acquisition and analysis to cloud pipeline development.
Core Expertise
- Data science: Statistical hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time-series analysis, Bayesian inference, and machine learning (including LLMs).
- Mathematical analysis: Probability models, mathematical optimization, game theory, and information theory.
- Technical stack: Python/R, SQL (PostgreSQL, Databricks, etc.), and AWS (S3, EKS, Redshift, etc.).
- System development: Backend development using Haskell, Rust, and C++, with experience in AWS deployment.
Consultation and Pojects
Although I reside in Kitami, Hokkaido, Japan, all work is conducted remotely, enabling me to accept requests from anywhere.
